How will I fly?

After researching flight and aerodynamics, I have decided to design and construct an airplane. But do to budget limits and time, I will construct my own radio-controlled airplane. I will have to purchase a radio system, servos, and transistors. I will design it similar to a Cessna, but a much smaller scale.

I will begin construction soon and do multiple flight tests, to make sure it is able to fly. I am debating on what materials I should use, as wood is too heavy, but sheet metal is too susceptible to damage and overheating. I could even make it out of a much lighter foam, so it won't be damaged as easily. Until then, I will be working on plans and designs for my new aircraft.

  1. To someone like me (I don't know much about this topic), it sounds very difficult, but I'm sure you'll be able to do it.
